Job Description

As a garbage collector, you’ll coordinate the collection of household or commercial waste from designated locations. You’ll also be required to handle the safe and effective operation of garbage trucks to pick up and transport waste
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collection of household or commercial waste from designated locations
- Handle the safe and effective operation of garbage trucks to pick up and transport waste
- Inspecting waste containers for prohibited items or hazardous materials
- Ensuring that containers are properly sealed to prevent spillage during transportation
- Sorting recyclable materials from general waste when required
- Take charge of the effective planning of route for the collection process
- Perform diligently all other assigned tasks
